On behalf of the staff, Board of Trustees, and our wonderful ākonga, I warmly welcome you to the Glenview School community. We’re proud to serve families from the suburbs of southwest Hamilton, where a strong sense of community and partnership underpins all that we do.

Glenview School was established in 1964 and has continued to grow steadily ever since. With that growth has come the opportunity to upgrade and develop our facilities to meet the needs of today’s learners and prepare them for the future. We are proud of our modern, engaging learning spaces that support collaboration, creativity, and innovation.

Our school’s vision, “Bettering our Best,” is at the heart of everything we do and is supported by our core values of Honesty, Effort, Respect, and Engagement. These values shape what it means to be a Glenview student and guide how we learn, interact, and grow together as a school whānau.

At Glenview, we believe that every child can learn, and it is our role to ensure that learning happens in a safe, supportive, and joyful environment. Our learning programmes place a strong emphasis on foundation skills in literacy and numeracy, while also embracing a rich, broad curriculum that allows students to explore all learning areas and discover their passions.

We place great importance on building strong partnerships with parents and caregivers, and we truly value your involvement in school life. Whether it's helping out on trips, supporting events, or simply connecting with staff, we believe that learning is most successful when it is a shared journey. We operate an open door policy, and our staff are always happy to meet with you to discuss your child’s learning and wellbeing.
